Manual Stainless Bimetal Steam Trap Valves SH-900 1/2" Port Size for High Temperature Water Overheating Conditions
The SH‑900 Series superheated steam trap automatically adapts to changing operating conditions. Its thermal elements generate a balancing force that offsets increases in pressure, ensuring consistent performance.
1. At system startup, the valve opens fully to allow rapid discharge of a large quantity of condensate and non-condensable gases.
2. When the system reaches steam temperature, the internal components heat up sufficiently to move the drain valve stem, closing the valve tightly.
3. The valve remains closed until the bimetallic element cools. As cooling occurs, the valve opens slightly to release trapped condensate and non-condensable gases. Once steam temperature is restored, the valve closes again automatically
