BK 170
Description
The bimetallic steam trap's thermal element consists of twometals with different expansion rates die-cast together usinga special process. The two metal layers expand when heated, causing them to bend due to the different expansion rates. This characteristic is exploited to create a thermal element that acts as a switch in the steam trap.
1.Utilizes high-temperature condensate to form a water seal, effectively reducing steam leakage.
2.lt operates sensitively,is resistant to corrosion, water hammer, and frost, and is silent during operation.
3.lt utilizes an inverted seal, lacking an internal spring structure.eliminating the need to overcome spring resistance, resulting instable thermal thrust and high sensitivity.
4.Suitable for steam mains, superheated steam mains, steam distributors, steam tracing, pipeline radiators, low-temperature heating tanks, and jacketed kettles.
5.lt can discharge condensate below saturation temperature, reducing flash steam losses, and automatically adjusts within its pressure/temperature range.
Installation Precautions
1.Proper installation and maintenance of this valve are the sole guarantee of safe and normal operation.
2.Ensure that the valve body material, pressure, and temperature ratings meet the operating requirements.
3.Clean the pipes and remove any debris before installation.
4.The valve should be installed at the lowest point in the pipe, with the flow direction consistent with the direction marked on the valve body.
5.After ensuring safe system operation, slowly open the valve in front of the steam trap to allow the system to gradually warm to nommal.
6.Perform regular maintenance to ensure the proper function of the steam trap.
