300 Series Forged Steel Steam Mains Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
The 300 Series forged steel inverted bucket steam trap is available with multiple connection options, including threaded, socket weld, or flanged connections, and is designed for vertical installation. Its unique lever mechanism amplifies the force generated by the weight of the inverted bucket, enabling the valve disc to open against system pressure differentials. The lever mechanism operates in a free-floating manner, eliminating wear caused by fixed pivot points.
300series matched with a special lever system uses the weight of the inverted bucket to help open the valve, even when there is pressure in the system. The lever moves freely and has no fixed parts that can wear out or cause friction.
Because the moving parts are at the top of the trap, dirt cannot settle on the opening. Any small dirt particles stay suspended in the water until they are flushed out when the bucket drops down and pulls the valve away from its seat.
The outlet is covered by a water seal, which stops live steam from escaping. Air is released automatically through a small hole in the bucket, removing air and CO₂ while the trap is operating.
This type of trap keeps draining condensate all the time, even though it only releases it in bursts. This prevents condensate from building up. It also stands up well to water hammer.
