AV2000 Thermostatic Air Vent Hardened Disc for Corrosive Steam System Non-Condensable Gas Discharge
The AV2000 thermostatic air vent is a high-performance industrial valve designed to automatically remove air and non-condensable gases from steam systems up to 45 bar. Constructed entirely from stainless steel (ASTM A351-CF3 housing and thermostatic components), it features a welded, tamper-resistant design, an integrated filter, and a hardened 40Rc valve disc for exceptional durability and corrosion resistance.
The AV2000 exhaust valve can be used to remove air and non-condensable gases from industrial equipment,vessels, and pipelines in industrial steam systems up to 45 bar. This series of exhaust valves features a thermal element-operated,stainless steel construction with a welded,tamper-resistant seat. lt features all-stainless steel internals, an integrated filter, and a hardened seat system.
Operating Principle
This thermostatic exhaust valve contains a thermostatic element that expands and contracts with heat. When air and non-condensable gases enter, the exhaust valveis in the discharge position. When steam enters, the thermostatic element expands, tightly closing the valve.
Installation Notes
This exhaust valve should be installed high above the vessel and system. To facilitate removal during system operation,an isolation valve must be installed. The exhaust valve is welded and cannot be repaired.
