Float Mechanism Air Vent High Temp Construction for Container & Pipeline Non-Condensable Gas Discharge
The AV813 air vent is a reliable float-type industrial valve designed to remove air and non-condensable gases from containers and piping systems while preventing liquid escape. Constructed with a cast iron body (ASTM A-126) and 304 stainless steel internals, it features an EPDM soft seat for tight closure (with optional fluororubber seats for high-temperature applications).

Operating Principle
The valve and seat assembly in the air eliminator are connected to a stainless steel float. When the eliminator is empty, the float is in its lowest position, allowing air and other gases to escape from the container or pipe. Whenliquid enters the eliminator, the float rises, keeping the valve closed until the liquid escapes.
Installation Notes
The AV813 should be installed high in the container or system, horizontally or vertically, to ensure upward flow and proper operation of the float mechanism. An isolation valve should also be installed for ease of maintenance
